Faced with an inefficient and obsolete building and a desire for real estate ownership, Weldy/Lamont’s principals retained Irgens as its buyer’s representative to identify and broker the purchase of a building for its new corporate headquarters. Irgens conducted an extensive site search to identify acquisition opportunities that would accommodate Weldy/Lamont’s current and future space needs, and also offered a space that would provide maximum visibility for the company.

Following the search, Irgens negotiated a purchase contract for a 20,000 sf office facility that required significant improvements. Irgens assisted the client in navigating through the due diligence process and identifying/procuring design, engineering, and environmental consultants. Weldy/Lamont closed on their new building in September 2011 after it was successfully converted into a multi-tenant office building and retained Irgens to provide ongoing property management services.
