Zywave Expands Presence in Milwaukee County Research Park

Growing Technology Firm Increases Space at Mayfair Woods to 59,828 SF

Irgens is pleased to announce the growth of Zywave, Inc. in Mayfair Woods, a signature Class A office building in the Milwaukee County Research Park (MCRP). This latest expansion is Zywave’s third within the building in the past year, underscoring the firm’s rapid growth as well as the mission of the MCRP to support leading research and technology companies. Zywave will move into the garden level office space formerly occupied by Irgens, while Irgens will relocate to Wood Lake III at 10200 Innovation Drive.

“We are excited about our continued growth and that we’ve been able to expand operations in our corporate headquarters,” said Joe Gibson, Chief Financial Officer of Zywave. “Irgens continues to be flexible in working with us to meet our increasing space needs.”

“Forward-thinking, tech-driven firms like Zywave represent the essence of the Milwaukee County Research Park,” said Jaclynn Walsh, Executive Vice President/COO of Irgens. “It is a testament to the City of Wauwatosa’s pro-development/pro-business stance coupled with companies like Zywave that have helped achieve well over 90% occupancy throughout the entire campus.”

Irgens has worked closely with Milwaukee County, the City of Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation since 1995 to complete eight of the 12 projects in the 175-acre MCRP, creating a campus-like environment that is home to over 80 successful companies. The $198 million development totals over 1,236,406 total square feet.

The first major project in the MCRP for Irgens and a main impetus for the overall development was a 139,000 square foot build-to-suit facility for United Healthcare. After its successful completion, the project led to the development of Wood Lake Business and Technology Center, a series of three buildings totaling 157,387 square feet of office/research/flex space. From there, Irgens developed Oakwood Center, a 66,643 square foot building that is fully occupied by Children’s Health System for support services; 10000 Innovation Drive, a 203,831 square foot, multi-tenant office building; and GE Healthcare Research Park, a 506,195 square foot headquarters building for three divisions of GE Healthcare. In early 2008, Irgens completed Mayfair Woods, a 163,350 square foot Class A office/research development.
