Irgens Celebrates “Topping Out” of Phoenix Office Project

03.14.2008

Phoenix – Just five months after breaking ground, Irgens is celebrating the “topping out” of their 5055 East Washington building. Topping Out, one of the construction industry’s oldest customs, celebrates the highest point of a building’s progress and signifies that the building structure is nearing completion.

5055 East Washington is a three-story, 52,500 square foot multi-tenant office building project located at 5055 East Washington Street in Phoenix. The 2.3 acre property is just northeast of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and offers easy access to the Loop 202, Highway 143 and Interstate 10 freeways. Irgens will move their office to this new location.

“Continued employment growth and low office vacancy has created a great opportunity for this infill development,” said Michael O’Connor, Senior Vice President of Irgens’ Phoenix office. “5055 East Washington will be an ideal place for growing businesses that are looking to locate in a state-of-the-art facility that is in an accessible and dynamic urban location.”

Headquartered in Milwaukee with offices in Chicago, Irgens expanded into the Phoenix market in the summer of 2006. Led by O’Connor, 5055 East Washington was Irgens’ second business venture through the Phoenix office. Currently, Irgens is developing over 252,000 square feet of projects in the greater Phoenix area.
